To all our Participants at Family Place and Fraserlands Family Drop-ins:
In the wake of COVID-19 and in compliance with the directive of our government and health officials, we will be suspending all our programs at both South Vancouver Family Place and Fraserlands Drop-in from March 17, 2020 until further notice . Our priority is to ensure the health and well- being of all our families, staff, volunteers and children and to help stop the spread of this virus.
Kids Care Preschool
As of March 29, 2020, we have extended the closing of preschool until further announcement.
At this time, we do not feel that we have the adequate plan and provisions in place to re-open. We will need more time to plan out a strategy that make sense for all. Our children in our care mean everything to us and we are looking out for the students as well as their families and what is best for all of us as a community. During the time that we are closed, Kids Care staff will be at the school to work on planning and implementing curriculum changes and classroom rearranging to be able to provide the safest environment for your children, the families and staff.
March 31,2020 update:
Staff will be contacting vulnerable families (parents with newborns, parents with English as a second language and others) by phone or email just to check in on them or provide guidance on how to get support from the government initiatives set in place. Our families are also welcome to contact our staff if they require counselling or any other support. Please check our Facebook for daily schedule.
