"The program Strong Start, makes it possible for those of us with one child to expose him or her to other children and to new environments that they otherwise wouldn't have access to.  My daughter goes to each of  the sites in Cook, Champlain Annex, and SVFP each week where she has met many friends and been exposed to different environments each with their own unique benefits.  My sister-in-law is my daughter's caretaker during the day and has found the 3 centres to be a great source of play and learning for all the children.  The few times I've had the pleasure of attending, I've been warmly greeted and can see why this is such a popular program."

"The family place provides an opportunity for children to socialize with others.  Parents are able to meet and form friendships.  Assistance is also available to needy families.  Our grandchildren have enjoyed participating in the wide variety of seasonal,  cultural and artistic activities. 

The model set at this centre should be a model to all other centres.  The warm , welcoming atmosphere adds to the continuing success of this family centre.

The food that is served here is wonderful and nutritious!
