Community Partnerships

In addition to our family resource programs and preschool, we also offer programs in partnerships with Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre, Pacific Immigrant Resources Society, Vancouver School Board and Langara Nursing Program.

Pacific Immigrant Resources Society offers ESL parenting program at our main site (7710 Nanaimo St.). This is a free program offered for mothers and their children 18 months to 6 year-olds. For more information, please call: 604-298-5888.

Annual General Meeting Thursday, June 20, 2013

Our Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Day will be on June 20 2013 Thursday at 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Please mark your calendars.

July 2013

Summer Preschool Tuesday, July 2, 2013

We are now accepting registrations for our Summer Licensed Preschool Program at Kidscare Preschool . We will run 3 sessions of preschool classes from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Monday through Fridays.

Fees and dates are as follows:

First session July 2 to July 12 (9 days ) = $105

Second Session July 15 to July 26 (10 days) = $115

Third Session July 29 to Aug 16th (14 days) = $160

There is a one-time, non-refundable $10 registration fee

Students can enrol in 1, 2, or 3 sessions and pay the registration fee once only.

Your child maybe eligible for government subsidy, please contact our office 604325 5213 for assistance in filling the forms and for registration.

Story Time

We are very pleased to have the Vancouver Public Library offer to partner with us in providing a new program called Story Time in Chinese. It will be located at Family Place Nanaimo location every Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. from May 17 to June 21st 2013.

Understanding Preschoolers

A six-week parenting program based on the work of Gordon Neufeld and it's the first time Family Place is offering this. It will English start Feb 12 to March 19 2013 Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $60 and there is NO childcare available. Please call 604 325 5213 or email svfp@telus.net to register.
